I have been going to Lucca’s for 20+ years. The staff especially Cami, Jill, Donna, & Michal are the best!!! A delightful experience from start to finish! The food was exceptional, the staff was so attentive, and the cozy ambiance was perfect. Highly recommend!!!!!!!

We had reservations for 8 adults and two small kids for a birthday lunch on a Sunday. Everyone was super kind and polite. Kathryn was our server and she was great. We had various pasta dishes and a pizza and everyone enjoyed the food. The pasta sauce was amazing and I make my own so that’s a high compliment. We had Coke in the old fashioned glass bottles which was fun. I had a delicious lemon drop drink. The parking is convenient on the street and in a lot. Oktoberfest was taking place down the street and that was fun add-on to our day as well as walking around the beautiful neighborhood. Would return!

This place had an elegant feel from the moment we walked in. Between the outdoor seating, the beautiful bar, and the open kitchen, the whole place has a great atmosphere. The smell of fresh garlic, tomatoes, and herbs in the air made us even more excited for the food. Our waitress was super friendly and made us feel welcome the whole time. I ordered the Fettuccine with Bolognese sauce, and added a meatball. We also ordered the Penne Alfredo with sausage so we could try both. When the plates came out, the first thing I noticed was the gigantic meatball. The fettuccine portion was generous, and the Bolognese had a rich tomato flavor. It was bold from the first bite, but for me the sauce became a little overpowering, and after a while it left a slightly metallic aftertaste. It was really good, but It was just a little too intense for my taste. The meatball was tender and flavorful, but I don't think one single meatball was worth the extra $5. The Penne Alfredo with sausage, though... that was the star of the meal. The Alfredo sauce was rich, creamy, and coated every piece of pasta perfectly, while the sausage added the perfect savory bite. I honestly wish I had ordered that instead. If I came back, that's exactly what I'd order.

Food phenomenal, and I mean GREAT Service by my waitress? Horrible by our specific waitress HOWEVER the busboys picked up the slack and got themselves a good few bucks for themselves to split. Edit I upped the review before response because the food was that good lol, Definitely needs work on the service for the amount of money though.

I sent this directly to Lucca's 6 days ago, and have yet to hear back. Being an independent vs a chain, I guess they have different sop's for responding to concerns. For your consideration: Disappointing - and I wanted to reach out versus putting this on OT / Yelp. $307.82 including tip for the following: Made a 5:30 rsvp, even though my entire party wanted 7, but I didn't want to be rushed and have a nice table, not to mention avoiding the issues below. Checked in early, seated right away in the back room, next to a spare chair and highchair. Room was warm with one other table in it, and bright. Noted "21st birthday" on rsvp, so maybe this table was set aside thinking it was a bunch of college kids. Server, Mariam, overall was fine. Drinks were priced by city standards. "Brooklyn" was watered down and not really cold. Glass wines weren't cold. Decided to skip apps and go right to entrees because we had other birthday stops to make. Nothing we ordered should have more than a :15 minute ticket time, especially fired at 5:45. We waited 30+ minutes for entrees, which were delivered in stages - 4 entrees, then 5 minutes later, the final 2 by the same guy. Only one food runner on a Saturday night? Marsala potato side delivered 5 mins after that. The food was marginal at best. All the pasta was overcooked and really not very presentable. Sauces were breaking. Portions were smaller than last visit. We had 3 baskets of bread to make up for it. No manager check on entrees, although we did see one turning down the AC. When did table visits become optional in our business? Very good tiramisu with a candle. The 3.5% service fee is a Covid-era tactic that shouldn't exist after 5 years... We have three more summer birthdays and the group unanimously said "let's try somewhere else." But, Lucca's may have had an off night, and I believe in giving objective feedback and trying it again. We ordered the cavatelli in vodka cream sauce (recommended by our server) and the Big Smoky pizza. The pizza was flavorful and good, but the pasta was very disappointing. It tasted like low-quality, store-bought marinara sauce rather than a proper vodka cream sauce, and the pasta itself was undercooked. We barely touched the dish. What stood out more was the service. When we mentioned we didn’t like the dish, there was no apology or attempt to resolve the issue. The item was also initially included on the bill, and only removed after we questioned it, which felt unusual. Overall, while the pizza was good, the poor pasta and lack of service recovery made the experience underwhelming. Not a place I’d recommend based on this visit.

Nice spot in downtown LaGrange. The food was tasty and prices were okay. The service was absolutely awful though. When we didn’t order alcoholic beverages, our server wanted nothing to do with us. He was very attentive to other tables that were drinking, but we literally had to waive him down and he still ignored us. It took 30 minutes just to order food, and the food arrived over an hour from when we first sat down. There are signs posted that say the food takes long because it’s fresh, which it was, but the ticket times in my opinion were outrageously high. Food was decent but some of the worst service we’ve had in a long time.

By not posting reviews often, I think it goes to show what kind of service Lucca’s provided in our takeout order. After thinking I had everything in our order, I received a call shortly after my pickup- with the Luccas employee explaining how they had mistakenly forgotten a side salad apart of the order, and delivered it immediately. Means a lot for the small things, definitely will think about Luccas service the next time topic of discussion of customer service comes up.

Friendly, professional and efficient staff. Even when ordering takeout I've had a pleasant exchange. The restaurant is consistently full and buzzing with activity however the hostess was patient and greeted each person with a welcoming smile. The pizza here is delicious, exactly what you'd expect from an Italian restaurant and delivery is prompt. I ate at the bar and the service was great in spite of the fact that the bartender also had to make drinks for seated guests. It may not be ideal for an intimate date as the noise level can be high but there is outside seating which is much quieter. The food was delicious. The grilled calamari was tender and flavorful as were the wings. The minestrone was thin and really oily and lacked flavoring...I wouldn't recommend it.

Was skeptical cause I’m the type to go with what I know. We lived in a Lyons for 4years now and my wife has been wanting to try this place but I always beg to differ. Especially with the prices being a bit higher than our go to spot. 4/12 We gave it a shot and….damn was I surprised. Really good pizza! Double dough sausage and pepperoni was cooked to perfection! Only mishap was in our behalf. We didn’t read the description of the garlic bread, my kids aren’t a fan of mozzarella cheese on their bread. We didn’t think there would be, but description states that and we just didn’t read. Overall 10/10 definitely recommend. Side note: the bar presentation in the restaurant looked great, one night we might make a date night and give the bar a shot! Thank you

I just moved to the neighborhood and have not found our pizza spot yet. This was my first time ordering and from the moment I ordered until I received my food it was a wonderful experience. The woman on the phone who took my order was incredibly helpful and asked clarifying questions to make sure I got exactly what I wanted(the receipt says Jill?). She informed me that the basil would come on the side to ensure the quality and they did not skimp! I am close by and was given a 45 minute wait (which is more than acceptable especially given it’s a Saturday night) but the food arrived in less than 30 piping hot! The delivery driver Jimmy was wonderful and was so kind to myself and my little girl. I typically opt for no contact deliveries but I am glad we had this interaction. We will definitely make a visit in person and will continue to order delivery.

Spectacular! Definitely a top spot in downtown lagrange. The front desk lady & Esmeralda took care of me and my guests that were breaking their fast for Ramadan. They were so considerate & respectful. They had the order rushed for us to be on time for us. The food was fresh & super tasteful. Pizza was delicious & so was the chicken parmigiana. The salad was very tasty with the sauce they had out for us. The vibe is classy & cozy. Wheel chair accessible and plenty of parking around. It was a bit pricey but definitely worth it. The service makes it worth it. Not to mention the place was spotless and clean! I loved it!
